While I don't quite believe that all good things come to an end, I guess some do. I have greatly enjoyed my 4+ years at my current employer, but in the immortal words of The Godfather, I received an offer I couldn't refuse. :-) Beginning April 1st, I will be joining Autodesk as the AutoCAD LT Technical Marketing Manager. I'm really excited to have the chance to work with this excellent (if occasionally under-appreciated!) product, and am very much looking forward to this next phase of my career. The blog will be on hiatus for a couple weeks during the transition, but it will be back after the 1st and hopefully better than ever. Stay tuned!

Welcome to Kate's CAD Tips!
I've been sending these tips out to my office once a week for about three years now, and decided to start the blog as a way to put them all in one place. Who knows, maybe they'll help somebody else out there too!
Some of the tips are pretty basic, but hey, we all had to start somewhere.
Most of the tips apply to AutoCAD 2004 & up -- I'll try to note if it's only available in later versions, but no promises. And ALL the tips apply to AutoCAD LT.

Kate, Congratulations. I have recomended your LT blog to many users. LT is an underestimated product. I used it at my last place of employment, adn they are still using it today (five years later). AutoCAD LT is strong enough (and cheap enough) for most drafting needs. Congratulations.
We deskers are lucky to have you and your experience.
